We are thrilled to announce that the location for our new salon has been finalized at 489 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215.

This process was long and complex but incredibly educational. Our initial contact with the broker began in January, and over the course of three months, we explored numerous properties. We ultimately chose this location because of its high potential and the surrounding environment that perfectly aligns with our vision.

The Process of Finding Our Location

Property Selection and Tours
Viewing different properties was a crucial step in imagining our working environment. By physically visiting various locations, we were able to consider what kind of facilities were needed and what modifications were possible.

Researching the Surrounding Area
From competitor analysis to demographics and average local incomes, we gathered a wide range of data. This information was essential for estimating potential client traffic and setting our service prices.

Negotiating Terms with the Landlord
Aligning our proposals with the landlord's terms involved multiple rounds of negotiations, which were highly educational. Ultimately, we were able to sign a contract that was fair for both parties.

Contract Review and Amendments
The initial draft of the contract was mostly based on the previous tenant's terms and did not reflect our requirements. This required numerous amendments, but through collaboration with our broker, we methodically adjusted each point.

Finalizing the Contract and Next Steps

Upon signing the contract, we paid the broker's fee, the first month's rent, and a security deposit equivalent to two months' rent. As a startup, we are grateful to have secured such favorable terms.

The Next Step: Beginning Construction
