If you want softer-feeling hair and more shine, a HITA salon treatment is one option to discuss. Improving the way hair feels and straightening its natural pattern are different goals. Separating what you want to change can make it easier to choose a service.
At U&K Salon, we describe HITA as care focused on hair condition, softness, and shine. Whether you want to keep your natural waves and curls or improve the feel of hair you blow-dry, tell your stylist which movement you want to preserve and which aspects of its texture you want to change.
The HITA name does not identify just one service
LebeL, the manufacturer, offers HITA lines for straightening, salon treatments, and home care. Products sharing the HITA name do not all perform the same role.
The manufacturer describes AP Treatment More as a five-step salon treatment designed for shine and softness. For this product, its explanation of hair-quality care refers to moisturizing hair to soften its feel and add shine. The phrase “hair improvement” should not be read as a promise that a treatment permanently changes your hair type or straightens every curl.
U&K Salon’s HITA treatment is not booked as a Japanese straightening service. If you would like to know which specific products and steps are used, please ask before your appointment.
Be specific about what “too much volume” or “frizz” means to you
A concern about hair spreading out can include several different wishes. You may be concerned about the surface feel, want a smaller overall silhouette, or want your curls to look more polished while keeping their movement. Each goal calls for a different conversation.
For example, you might explain your priorities this way:
“My ends feel rough, and I want to discuss their texture while keeping my length.”
“I like my natural waves. I am more interested in shine than removing their movement.”
“Blow-drying takes more time than I would like, so I want to discuss manageability as well as softness.”
“My priority is to straighten my natural pattern. Can a treatment address that goal?”
These are consultation examples, not quotations from clients. Use them to identify the situations that bother you most, rather than choosing a service name before discussing your hair.
HITA and Brazilian Blowout: where does the consultation begin?
Alongside HITA, U&K Salon offers Brazilian Blowout keratin smoothing. We describe HITA primarily in terms of condition, softness, and shine, and Brazilian Blowout in terms of frizz reduction and manageability.
One is not automatically the better choice for everyone. Choosing Brazilian Blowout also does not mean you are guaranteed completely straight hair. Your previous chemical services and the movement you want to keep belong in the consultation.
If softness and shine are your main concerns, start by asking about HITA. If frizz and managing your blow-dry are your main concerns, ask how Brazilian Blowout differs. If straightening your natural pattern comes first, state that clearly. Organizing your goals makes it easier to compare the explanations you receive.
What to share about your hair
Fine hair and hair that needs to retain volume
Along with “I want my hair to feel softer,” say, “I want to keep some lift at the roots.” Sharing what you already like about your everyday hair helps define your preferred result. Having fine hair does not mean everyone should receive the same service.
Thick strands and high-density hair
Describe strand thickness and the amount of hair separately. Decide whether your main concern is the feel of your ends, your shape after drying, or the amount of hair when you tie it back. Distinguishing texture concerns from concerns about haircut shape or weight helps your stylist understand what you want.
Straight, wavy, and curly hair
People with the same general hair pattern can prefer very different results. If you want to keep your curls, say so at the beginning. Photos of your hair air-dried and blow-dried can help explain its everyday appearance. Discuss the salon finish separately from the result you want to recreate at home.
Colored, bleached, permed, or chemically straightened hair
Share when you had previous chemical services and which areas were treated, as far as you know. Mention any older bleach or straightening that remains in your ends. A product description referring to color-treated hair does not, by itself, establish whether a service is suitable for your hair today.
If you also want color or another service on the same day, mention both when booking. Whether they can be combined, their order, and the appointment time needed should be confirmed for your hair condition and the services involved.
How should you think about salon care and home care?
You do not need to compare salon services and home care simply as “stronger” and “weaker.” Tell your stylist which shampoo and conditioner you use and how you dry your hair, then discuss a routine you can maintain.
Before adding more products, identify what is bothering you. You might focus on how your hair feels immediately after washing, how the ends feel once dry, or how manageable it is the following morning. Choosing the situations you want to evaluate gives you something specific to discuss at your next visit.
If brushes or hot tools are used for the finish, ask which aspects reflect the treatment’s effect on texture and which reflect styling. Shine in a photograph does not establish that your hair will take the same shape with your usual drying routine.
Frequently asked questions
Will HITA straighten my curls or waves?
The HITA treatment offered by U&K Salon is not a substitute for Japanese straightening. If straightening your natural pattern is your goal, ask first whether an available service is appropriate for that result.
How long does the result last?
U&K Salon’s service guide gives approximately four to six weeks as a general guide for HITA. Hair condition and home care can affect the experience, so this is not a guaranteed duration for everyone. During your visit, ask what changes to look for when deciding when to consider your next treatment.
Does having a treatment mean I do not need a haircut?
Improving how hair feels and adjusting the length or shape of the ends are separate goals. If keeping your length is important, share that preference and discuss whether this visit should focus on treatment alone or also include a trim.
