A Year of Growth and Gratitude — Thank You from U&K Salon

Can you believe how quickly a year flies by?

It feels like just yesterday we opened the doors of U&K Salon, welcoming our very first guests in the summer of 2024. Now, as 2025 comes to an end, we can finally say — we’ve completed our first full year of being open!

This year has been filled with growth, challenges, and so many amazing moments thanks to everyone who visited, supported, and shared our journey.

Opening a salon in a new neighborhood isn’t always easy.

From learning the rhythm of the community to finding the right stylists and building trust one client at a time — every step came with lessons.

We met people who moved to Brooklyn recently, families who wanted reliable local stylists, and creative New Yorkers searching for precision cuts and vibrant colors with a Japanese touch. Many told us how hard it had been to find a salon that truly understood their hair texture and personal style — and that’s what pushed us to do better every day.

For us, great hair starts with great communication. Whether it’s a small trim or a bold color change, we always want clients to feel comfortable expressing their ideas.

Our stylists continued to study and refine Japanese techniques throughout 2025 — from detailed cutting to damage-care coloring and HITA treatments straight from Japan. We also learned how much people appreciate genuine, friendly conversation and a relaxed space where they can take a break from the city rush.

Next year, we plan to welcome new stylists and introduce fresh services that reflect the diversity and creativity of Brooklyn. Our goal is to keep growing while staying true to our roots — combining Japanese precision with local warmth.
